Job Context
REPORT TO : FINANCE MANAGER AND ACCOUNTANT
Job Responsibilities
• Maintain books of accounts (payable and receivables) using corporate financial software.
• Assist in reviewing all papers relate to cash disbursement (vendors, payroll, etc.) ensuring Activity compliance with Chemonics and USAID policies and statutory requirements.
• Keep records/documents ready for internal and/or external auditors and provide clarification during audit process.
• Ensure timely receipt of all bills from different vendors and record each bill in the bill register in a chronological way.
• Issue VAT coupon to the vendor and help Finance Manager and Accountant to prepare monthly Bank Reconciliation statement and VAT report.
• Ensure internal control and statutory deduction i.e., VAT & income tax. Deposit of applicable Tax timely at Govt. exchequer.
• Ensure all books of Accounts are being well organized and updated regularly like cash book, bank account, check register, ledger etc.
• Check all procurement documents carefully to confirm that procurement is done according to USAID and Chemonics policy.
• Liaise with vendors and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure compliance and timely supply and payments.
• Check and verify all books of Accounts and voucher with supporting documents submitted to finance manager and Accountant for review in a regular basis.
• Perform any other financial and administrative tasks related to the objectives of the Activity as assigned by supervisors.

Educational Requirements
• University degree in relevant field or discipline.
Experience Requirements
• 2 to 3 year(s)
Additional Requirements
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional field experience related to the above duties and responsibilities in relevant sector preferably in a larger organization/CSO/commercial environment.
• Skills of general accounting procedures, including accounts, finance, audit, value-added tax (VAT), income tax, etc.
• Professional computer literacy in accounting packages.
• Proven understanding on organizational financial and operational procedures; providing technical advice and support to the stakeholders.
• Experience with USAID and working in a multi cultural environment is preferred.
• Strong organizational and work prioritization skills, attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrates leadership, versatility, and integrity.
